LORETTO, Pa. – College Sports Madness released its weekly women's basketball awards on Monday. Junior center Jada Dapaa was named Player of the Week for the Northeast Conference for her play in the Merrimack series.

Dapaa was a game-changer last week as Saint Francis swept Merrimack to improve to 8-0 in conference play. Dapaa averaged 11.0 points and 10.0 rebounds during the series and made it to the free throw line a team-high 15 times due to her strong play, drawing nine fouls.

In Friday's 61-48 win, Dapaa registered her second double-double of the season, tying her career-high 12 points and adding 10 rebounds - the third time this season she's grabbed 10 or more rebounds. She led the team in both categories. Dapaa's block and steal helped the Red Flash tie its season-best 48 points allowed.

In Thursday's 70-62 win, Dapaa was just one rebound shy of a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds, leading the team in rebounds. This season, Dapaa leads SFU with 7.9 rebounds per game and has elevated her game, averaging 8.2 rebounds per game in NEC play.
