SOMERSET, N.J. – The Northeast Conference unveiled its women's basketball Mount Rushmore on Tuesday. Saint Francis alumna
Jess Zinobile ('00) was honored as one of the top four student-athletes in NEC history for women's basketball.
Zinobile was one of the first members elected to the NEC Hall of Fame, being inducted as a member in the inaugural class of 2010. She was twice named NEC Player of the Year (1997-98 & 1999-00) and a three-time NEC Tournament MVP. Zinobile was named the NEC 20
th Anniversary MVP and a member of the 25
th Anniversary All-Time team.
Zinobile became the first player in program history to reach 2,000 career points and remains second on the all-time scoring list with 2,338 points during her four years. She holds the title of the program's leading rebounder with 1,295 rebounds and holds the record of most career free-throws made (645) during her career in Loretto. Zinobile also ranks among the top 10 in program history in career field-goals made (831, tied for second), career field-goals attempted (1,731, second), career free-throws attempted (810, second), career steals (282, third) and career assists (381, sixth).
Zinobile broke the single-season rebound record with 365 in 1997-98 before breaking her own record with 366 rebounds in 1999-00 – a mark that stands today. She holds 13 spots on the single-season top-10 list at Saint Francis.
