TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME
The Red Flash fell behind 15-9 before Saint Francis took a 31-29 lead into halftime behind 11 points from Benzel in the second quarter.
The Red Flash and Blue Devils went back-and-forth until Saint Francis opened up a 49-39 lead towards the end of the third quarter. The Red Flash took an eight-point, 51-43 lead, into the fourth quarter.
Central Connecticut cut the lead to four points with 7:17 remaining before Saint Francis maintained at least a six-point lead and at most a 12-point lead before the final buzzer.
FLASH NUGGETS
One game after she tied her career-high in points, Benzel broke her career-high with 25 points. Her nine field goals converted also set a new career-high and her five three-point field goals fell one short of tying a season-high.
For the fifth time in her career, Dapaa grabbed 15 or more rebounds in a game. She now has 13 games with double-digit rebound this season and is averaging 10.7 per game.
Mastellone scored 19 points, her third-highest output this season. She has eight double-digit point games this season and two games with more than 20.
The Red Flash have a higher field goal percentage than their opponent in all-four victories during their winning streak. The games mark four of the five times Saint Francis has a higher field goal percentage than its opponent this season.
