TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME
The Red Flash trailed after the first quarter for the second-straight game, 20-13, before they cut the deficit to one point, 35-34, at halftime.
After the same deficit at the end of the third quarter, Saint Francis rallied for eight-straight points and turned a 55-52 deficit to a 59-55 lead with 33 seconds remaining in regulation. Sacred Heart layups by Sonia Smith and Adrianne Hagood with under 20 seconds remaining sent the game to overtime.
Jordan McLemore had a three-point attempt that beat the buzzer but missed.
In overtime, Mastellone led the scoring off with one converted free throw before five-straight Pioneers' points gave them a 64-60 lead. After a Dapaa two-point shot,
Kaitlyn Maxwell's three pointer gave Saint Francis a 65-64 lead. Smith hit a layup as Sacred Heart took a 66-65 lead before Dapaa responded with a two-point jumper. Saint Francis sealed its 69-66 win after two Dapaa free throws.
FLASH NUGGETS
Dapaa's 23 rebounds are tied for second-most by a Red Flash player in program history, one shy of tying the program record. She joins Jess Zinobile (three times), Colleen Curley (three times) and Cheril Meier (one time) in the top-eight all-time performances – all more than 21 rebounds.
Miller's career-high 15 points are her most since a 14-point output on Nov. 7, 2019 at West Virginia.
Mastellone's 20 points are the third-most in her career. She has all-three games with 20 or more points in seven conference games she played in this season
McLemore matched her career-high with six rebounds.
