TURNING POINT OF THE GAME

With the Sharks up 2-1, the Long Island team just needed one more set to claim the victory. The fourth set was a very tight one between both teams, seeing 14 tied scores and nine lead changes between the Sharks and Red Flash. However, Long Island was able to come out on top to claim the extended fourth set, 26-24 for the Sharks to claim the 3-1 win.

FLASH MOMENTS 

The Sharks started off the match by going on a 3-1 run to never allow the Red Flash to lead in set one. Towards the end of the first set, the Red Flash developed a 4-2 run to be within two to make the score 24-22. However, the Sharks maintained its lead to claim the first set, 25-22.

The Red Flash dropped the first set but were able to capitalize on its momentum in set two. The Sharks led for the beginning of the second set, but a 3-1 lead from the Red Flash gave the team the 15-14 lead and maintained that lead for the remainder of the second set. A kill from Tyus secured the 25-19 second set for the Red Flash to tie the match at 1-1.

Even though the Red Flash never led in the third set, the set was still a very close battle for both teams. However, the Sharks were able to claim set three, 25-22.

FLASH NUGGETS 

Eicher's 13 kills on Friday matched her career single-game high, which she achieved last weekend against the team's win over Central Connecticut State.
Â
Drew Wallech (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) also matched her career single-game high, but in blocks with four. She first notched the achievement earlier this season against Drake.
