>> Meghan Zambruno (Mount Pleasant, Pa.) finished third to pace the Saint Francis women's golf team to a third-place finish at the Hawks Fall Invitational on Sunday.
>> Zambruno shot a four-over par first round of 76 and then shot a one-over par round of 73 in the final round to post a 149 in the two-day tournament. The freshman finished three strokes behind the medalist.
>> Mary Kate Norcross (Chambersburg, Pa.) also finished in the Top-10 with a two-round score of 161 (83-78).
 
FLASH MOMENTS
McKenzie Gustas (Hermitage, Pa.) and Anna Crumrine (Newark, Ohio) each placed 15th with a score of 165. Gustas reached her score with a first round of 88 and a second round of 77, while Crumrine carded an 83 and 82 in the two rounds. Rachel Detore (Spotsylvania, Va.) completed the five team players with a 19th place finish with a score of 167 (88-79).
 
Sydney Clements (East Sparta, Ohio) (20th place, 169), Sadee LaRose (Johnstown, Pa.) (23rd place, 174) and Marlie Krug (Loretto, Pa.) (32th place, 246) each participated in the two-round competition.
 
Monmouth won its own event with a score of 604, 17 strokes ahead of Hofstra (621), while Saint Francis (637), Niagara (661) and LaSalle (671) rounded out the five-team field. The Red Flash posted a 330 in the first round and a 307 in the second round to card its score of 637.
 
FLASH NUGGETS
Zambruno has posted rounds in the 70s in her last four rounds and in five of her first six rounds. The final round of 73 was her best round in her collegiate career. She finished in the Top-10 for the second-straight event and in the Top-5 for the first time in her career.
