Men’s Tennis and Three Women’s Tennis Players Conclude Fall Season at Bloomsburg Invitational

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Saint Francis University men's tennis concluded the fall season with its second trip to the Bloomsburg Invitational while three women's players concluded their season at the invitational.
 
Adam Kush and Patrick Reese each led men's tennis with three singles wins each, while the doubles combination of Fabio Varella and Jordi Garcia went a perfect 3-0. Garcia, Kush, Reese and Varella all held a 5-1 record in singles and doubles combined. Matt Kozar, Andrew Teixeria and Gregory Troyan each earned two singles and two doubles victories and went 4-2 at the invitational.
 
At the conclusion of the fall season, Kozar had a team-high 10 singles victories and Resse led the team with a .778 winning percentage with his 7-2 record. Kush finished his fall season debut as a graduate student with a 9-3 record. 10 different men's players carried a .500 record or better in singles and the team totaled a 64-34 record.
 
Three doubles combinations had four victories in the fall and the duo of Varella and Garcia and Kozar and Teixeira had undefeated records at 3-0 and 2-0, respectively. Kozar led the team with eight doubles victories and Saint Francis had a 27-22 team record.
 
Sydney Tamondong, Jessie Thepsouvan and Mallory Thomas were the three women's players to conclude their season at the Bloomsburg Invitational. Tamondong and Thomas led the trio with a 2-1 singles record. In doubles, Tamondong and Thepsouvan recorded one victory together.
 
Saint Francis men's and women's tennis will look towards the spring season, with the schedule to be released at a date to be determined.
