BOX SCORE 2 ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Saint Francis University men's and women's dropped their season opener at Navy. The men's team dropped its match 7-0, while women's tennis dropped its match 6-1.

Doubles
The Midshipmen took all-three doubles matches played, with the closest match a narrow 7-6 win in No. 2 played by
Anoek Pruijmboom and
Valeria Vinces.
Bente Vandeputte and
Dominique Yeo took a 6-4 loss in No. 1 doubles, while Navy earned a 6-0 shutout victory in No. 3 doubles.
Singles
Valeria Vinces recorded the only Saint Francis victory with a 6-0, 3-6, 6-3 win in No. 4 singles. All other singles matches were won by Navy in two sets.
Anoek Pruijmboom had the smallest margin of defeat with a 2-6, 4-6 loss in the No. 3 match.

Doubles
Navy took a win in all-three doubles matches, with the closest match a 6-4 defeat in No. 3 doubles by
Zachary Palko and
Andrew Teixeira.
Fabio Varella and
Marc Fuste took a 6-3 loss in No. 1 doubles.
Singles
Navy took a victory in all-six singles matches, with four of the six finished in two sets. Varella took Sasha Panyan to a third set in a 3-6, 6-2, 0-1 (3-10) loss in No. 1 singles. In his spring collegiate debut,
Patrick Reese took a No. 6 singles match to a 6-3, 5-7, 0-1 (6-10) defeat.
