Skye Eicher (Rostraver Township, Pa./Frazier) and
Korrin Burns (Shippenville, Pa./Clarion Area) led the Red Flash offensively for the three outside hitters to collect 52 kills collectively. In addition, Tyus led the Red Flash by posting four service aces on the day.

TURNING POINT OF THE GAME

With the Red Flash claiming sets two and three and the Pioneers claiming sets one and four, a fifth set was needed. The Pioneers started off the final set with a 4-0 run to maintain the lead early on. With Saint Francis down 10-8, the team notched a 5-0 run to maintain it until the Pioneers rallied back to tie the set at 14-14. The fifth set continued to be a battle with the Red Flash seeing a total of three potential match points. However, the Pioneers were able to come out on top to claim the 19-17 fifth set for the 3-2 win.

FLASH MOMENTS 

The Pioneers started off the first set with a 4-0 run and maintained that lead for the remainder of set one. A 5-0 run from the Red Flash put the team back within one to make the score 11-10. However, it wasn't enough to keep Sacred Heart from claiming the first set, 25-17.

The Red Flash took its first lead of the match early in the second set thanks to a 2-1 run to start the set off. The second set started as a back-and-forth battle until the Red Flash posted a 9-1 run to make the score 17-9 and never allow the Pioneers to lead again in the second set. A kill from Eicher gave the Red Flash the second set, 25-14.

The Red Flash continued its momentum into the third set to never allow the Pioneers to lead in the set until late in the set when Sacred Heart took the 23-22 lead. However, Saint Francis responded with a 3-0 run to clinch the third set, 25-23.

The Pioneers came out in the fourth set to go on an 8-2 run to never allow the Red Flash to lead in the set four. Sacred Heart claimed set four, 25-14.

FLASH NUGGETS 

Aubrey Deptula (Boca Raton, Fla./Boca Raton Community) posted a new single game career high of eight block assists in Saturday's match, while Eicher notched a new high of 37 total attacks in the game.

Emma Fenton (Latrobe, Pa./Greater Latrobe) posted 47 assists for the Red Flash on Saturday to earn a total of 97 assists on the weekend.

UP NEXT
The Red Flash will next hit the road to Brooklyn, N.Y. to take on Long Island on Friday, October 14 and St. Francis Brooklyn on Saturday, October 15. Both matches will start at 5:00 p.m.
