Cincinnati, Ohio.  – Saint Francis University women's basketball took a 78-52 loss to Xavier on Sunday. The Red Flash controlled the majority of the first half, holding the lead for over 12 minutes. However, a strong start by the Musketeers in the second half was the deciding factor in Sunday's loss.
 
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
» Filippa Goula led the Red Flash in scoring by collecting 12 points in the game to match her career high that she achieved earlier this season against Robert Morris.
 
» Destini Ward followed closely behind Goula by notching nine points on the day for a new game high for the Freshman.
 
» Jade Campbell led Saint Francis with 13 rebounds on the day.
 
» Adison Novosel led the team from the three-point range by collecting two. Novosel also recorded a new game high of six rebounds on Sunday.
 
TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
Xavier took the lead to close the end of the first half, followed by a 15-0 run from the Musketeers to start the second half allowed the Xavier team to stay ahead for the remainder of the game.
 
Despite the loss, the first half was a back-and-forth battle between both teams seeing six total lead changes and four tied scores. In addition, Saint Francis held the largest lead in the first half by nine.
 
FLASH NUGGETS
Campbell's 13 rebounds was a new career high for the freshman, while the six points and two assists were new highs for Campbell as well.
 
Juliana Gibson recorded her first collegiate points, rebounds and assists in Sunday's game.
