FLASH QUOTES
"Certainly appreciate the opportunity to play at Hinkle Fieldhouse. As a young kid growing up watching Hoosiers and the chance to compete against Butler in this historic gym is a pretty cool experience. I'm not sure that our guys really understand the history of it. We showed our guy's Hoosiers and tried to tell them who Coach Hinkle was and what he meant to the school. It was certainly an honor and a privilege to be on the same floor with the Butler Bulldogs."
- head coach Rob Krimmel talking about playing at Hinkle Fieldhouse. Krimmel at shoot around reenacted the famous scene at Hinkle Fieldhouse from Hoosiers.
Â
"We knew coming in it was going to be a dog fight and that they were going to give us everything that we could handle. I am proud of the way our guys came out. The start gave us a pretty good boast to play the first 20 minutes with a little bit of a chip on our shoulder and a little bit of confidence."
- Krimmel about the game
Â
"I love this team. I really love coming to practice, getting on a bus with them. When you talk about this group's mentality and let's drive the bus, let us be a part of this thing, they really embrace that. It is a fun group to coach. Our younger guys have assimilated with our older guys and just like Butler I look forward to getting the bulk of our roster back healthy in league play. The word believe is a big part of our program and when you believe in it, it is something special."
