LORETTO, Pa. – Four Saint Francis University women's volleyball players earned the attention of the Northeast Conference (NEC) this week.
Madi Tyus has been named the NEC Player of the Week, while
Emma Fenton,
Maggie Hogan and
Skye Eicher each collected an NEC Prime Performer, the conference announced on Tuesday.

Tyus was named the NEC Player of the Week after leading the Red Flash offensively and defensively this past week by notching 30 kills and 33 digs for 30 points over six sets. In addition, the outside hitter posted a double-double in both matches with 16 kills and 15 digs against LIU and 14 kills and 18 digs over St. Francis Brooklyn. Tyus leads the conference in kills this season with 283. This is Tyus' eighth NEC Player of the Week award of her career and second of the season.

Hogan earned a double-double in Saturday's sweep over St. Francis Brooklyn with 11 kills and 11 digs. In addition, she recorded 19 of her 30 digs on Friday in the team's win over LIU. The outside hitter also posted six service aces on the weekend, with four of those coming in Friday's win over LIU.

Fenton continued to lead the Red Flash as a setter last weekend by posting 75 assists to average 12.50 assists per set. The setter also posted 21 digs for the team and notched 3.0 blocks for the Red Flash on the week. Fenton is second in the conference in assists with 840 on the season.

Eicher followed closely in behind Tyus with 26 kills on the weekend, while also adding 15 digs and 2.0 blocks and two service aces for Eicher to collect 29.0 points for the Red Flash on the week. This is Eicher's first NEC Prime Performer recognition of her career.

The Red Flash close out regular season action this weekend in Connecticut by taking on Central Connecticut State on Friday, Nov. 11 at 5:00 p.m. and Sacred Heart on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 5:00 p.m. A win over Central Connecticut would clinch a spot in the Northeast Conference Tournament for the Red Flash.
