NEW ORLEANS  – Saint Francis University women's basketball fell 84-41 against Tulane. After VCU withdrew from the Tulane Holiday Tournament, Saint Francis will not play a game on Dec. 21 as previously scheduled.

Layla Laws led Saint Francis with 10 points, all in the first half, on 4-of-6 shooting.

Aaliyah Moore grabbed a team-high seven rebounds and recorded two blocks and two steals.

» Tulane's Marta Galic had a game-high 16 points and four three-point shots made.
TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
Sam Miller scored the game's first basket before Tulane put together a 10-2 run and took a 10-4 lead three minutes into the game. With the score 19-11 with 3:30 remaining in the first quarter, the Green Wave finished the quarter on a 16-0 run and took a 35-11 lead. In the second quarter, Tulane outscored Saint Francis 19-13 and led by 30, 54-24, at the half.

Both teams were held scoreless in the first three minutes of the third quarter and Tulane had a scoring advantage 5-2 through the first five minutes of the quarter. The Green Wave finished the third quarter 67-29 before they finished with a 17-12 advantage in the fourth to clinch the 84-41 victory.
FLASH NUGGETS
The two blocks recorded by Turner were the first two of her collegiate career. Her three assists also set a career-high, which was previously two set at Loyola Chicago on Nov. 25.

Moore tied her season-high with three steals, which she set three other times. She has 26 points, 29 rebounds, five blocks and four steals across the past three games.

Saint Francis returns home for its final non-conference game of the season against Hartford on Friday, Dec. 30 for a 7 p.m. tip-off.
