GAME NOTES VS. ST. FRANCIS BROOKLYN
need to know... The game between Saint Francis and its Franciscan brethren St. Francis Brooklyn marks the 88th meeting in the all-time series dating back to the 1929-30 season.
• The Terriers defeated the Red Flash 70-53 in Brooklyn on Jan. 6.
• Saint Francis holds a 27-15 edge in the series at DeGol Arena
• The Red Flash has won five of the last six games in Loretto against St. Francis Brooklyn after the two teams split the season series last year in DeGol Arena.
• Saint Francis has won at least one game in the series in each of the last five seasons
• Head coach
Rob Krimmel is 8-11 against the Terriers. The Red Flash has won seven of the last 11 meetings in the series.
a sfu win would... Earn the season split for the fifth-straight season
•  End a four-game losing streak
• Keep the Red Flash alive for the No. 5 seed
• Earn an all-important season split, which could have playoff implications with tiebreaker scenarios
next on tap... Saint Francis will conclude the regular season on the road at Central Connecticut State on Feb. 24 and at Sacred  Heart on Feb. 26, two teams the squad is fighting with for playoff position.
• The Red Flash will then play in the postseason and could be in the 8/9 game on Feb. 28 or in seeds No. 5-7 and advance to the NEC Quarterfinals on Wednesday, March 2.
thank you seniors... Â Saint Francis would like to thank seniors
Ramiir Dixon-Conover,
Mark Flagg,
Chukwu Ikediashi,
A.J. Labriola, and
Tyler Stewart for their hard work and dedication to Saint Francis University and the men's basketball team during their time in Loretto.

the word on the terriers.. St. Francis Brooklyn comes into the contest 9-17 overall and 6-9 in Northeast Conference after defeating Mount St. Mary's 64-55 on Thursday.
• Rob Higgins paced the Terriers with 27 points against the Mount. Patrick Emilien and Tredrick Wilcox, Jr. each added 10 points in the win on the road.
• Michael Cubbage leads the team in scoring (13.1 ppg.) and steals (42), while ranking second in assists (48).
• Emilien  fuels the team in rebounding (6.5 rpg.) and blocks (17) and ranks second in scoring (12.7 ppg.).
• Higgins powers the team in assists (80) and ranks second in steals (26) and third in scoring (11.2 ppg.).
• With its win on Thursday at the Mount, the Terriers moved to 2.5 games ahead of Saint Francis for the No. 5 seed. St. Francis Brooklyn  defeated the Red Flash 70-53 on Jan. 6 to currently hold the tiebreaker and the win against the Mount would keep the tiebreaker with the Terriers if the Loretto team can win on Saturday.
• The Terriers have more wins on the road than at home this season with six wins away from Pope. This is the final season the team will be playing at Pope with the college moving buildings next season. Location for home games is currently up in the air with no facility in the new location.
last time we met... St. Francis Brooklyn defeated Saint Francis 70-53 on Jan. 6.
• Senior
Myles Thompson paced the Red Flash with 17 points, while redshirt senior
Ramiir Dixon-Conover added 14 points.
• Michael Cubbage powered four Terriers in double figures with 19 points, while Patrick Emilien (12 points, 11 rebounds), Jack Hemphill (12 points) and Tedrick Wilcox, Jr. (10 points, 10 rebounds) also found double figures.
last time out... Saint Francis lost 81-63 to LIU on Thursday.
• Redshirt sophomore
Josh Cohen paced the Red Flash with 15 points and seven rebounds.
• Sophomore
Maxwell Land recorded 11 points and eight rebounds, while redshirt senior
Mark Flagg tallied 10 points and 11 rebounds.
• Sophomore
Zahree Harrison registered a career-best nine points.
playoff push... The Red  Flash are currently tied for last place with Sacred Heart and FDU. If the playoff started today, FDU and Sacred Heart would play in the 8/9 game because the Red Flash currently come out of the tiebreaker first thanks to its win against Sacred Heart.
• Saint Francis is now 2.5 games out of  the fifth spot with three games left and could cut the number almost in half with a win against St. Francis Brooklyn on Saturday. Â
• The Red Flash would need to win its last three games and St. Francis Brooklyn would need to lose its last three games for the Loretto program to get in the fifth spot.
• In many ways, Saint Francis can have a lot to say about where it finishes with its final three games against the teams it is battling for playoff position.
• With three games left, Saint Francis has the easiest schedule with games against St. Francis Brooklyn (6-9), Central Connecticut State (5-10) and Sacred Heart (4-11).
• In addition, the teams the Red Flash is fighting with for playoff position have the three hardest remaining schedules
• Saint Francis currently holds head-to-head tiebreakers against Sacred Heart and Central Connecticut State, while the rest of the league currently has a tiebreaker against the Loretto program.
• The Red Flash split the season series with both Merrimack and FDU, but both of those teams hold a win against a higher ranked team and would hold the tiebreaker.

• For the first time in eight seasons the Red Flash will finish a year with a losing record at home. The squad went 5-8 in 2013-14 and is currently 4-7 at home this season.
