LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University men's tennis fell 6-1 at Carnegie Mellon.
Marc Fuste won the second singles and doubles matches of his career.

Singles
Carnegie Mellon took five-of-six singles points during the match. Fuste won the only match for Saint Francis with his 6-3, 6-2 victory in No. 3 singles over Doshi Raahil. Four other matches, No. 1, No. 2, No. 5 and No. 6 singles went to a decisive third set that the Tartans prevailed in.
Sebastian Pinos fell in No. 1 singles to Brandon Aprill 4-6, 6-4, 0-1 after he withdrew.
Andrew Teixeira fell to Ray Boppana 1-6, 6-2, 5-7 in No. 2 singles,
Daniel Vinces fell to Nicholas Wernink 4-6, 6-4, 1-6 in No. 5 singles and
Christian Banti fell 7-6, 0-6, 4-6 in No. 6 singles.
Doubles
Carnegie Mellon won Friday's doubles point with back-to-back wins in No. 2 and No. 3. The Tartans' duo of Derek Wong and Nadim Motaghedi were the first winners during the match with a narrow 8-6 victory in No. 2 doubles over
Sebastian Pinos and
Andrew Teixeira.
Jordi Garcia and
Christian Banti fell to Arjan Bedi and Raahil Doshi in No. 3 singles 8-5.
Zachary Palko and
Marc Fuste were the final duo to finish, with an 8-6 win in No. 1 doubles over Matthew Poh and Jaden D'Abreo.
