LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University women's tennis fell to .500 this season with a 4-3 loss at Carnegie Mellon.

Singles
Saint Francis and Carnegie Mellon split the singles matches 3-3, with the Tartans victorious in No. 1-3 and the Red Flash victorious in No. 4-6.
Romina Cutipa defeated Bin Zheng 7-6, 7-5 in No. 4 singles,
Valeria Vinces defeated Malikaa Marathe 6-2, 6-1 in No. 5 singles and
Anoek Pruijmboom won 6-3, 6-2 over Farida Abdelmoneum in No. 6 singles. Pruijmboom has won two-straight singles matches and four of her last five between singles and doubles.
Bente Vandeputte moved up to No. 2 singles for the first time in her career and dropped her match to Ava Givone 2-6, 2-6. The loss is her first in singles during the spring season.
Anouk Ma-Ajong moved to No. 3 singles and fell to Sarah Yang 3-6, 3-6.
Carnegie Mellon clinched the match when
Dominique Yeo fell to Lindy Cornwall 2-6, 4-6 in No. 1 singles.
Doubles
Carnegie Mellon swept Saturday's doubles matches to earn the point over Saint Francis. Yeo and Ma-Ajong lost 5-8 to Cornwall and Zheng in No. 1 doubles, Pruijmboom and Vandeputte lost 5-8 to Abdelmoneum and Megan Qiang in No. 2 doubles and Cutipa and
Marie Discini lost in a close No. 3 doubles match 7-8 to Simran Bedi and Givone.
