LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University men's and women's tennis both defeated Mercyhurst on Tuesday 5-2. This was the second time both teams won on the same day, previously done on Jan. 23 at Morgan State.

Singles
Fabio Varella won his second straight single match with a 6-1, 5-7, 6-4 No. 2 victory.
Marc Fuste won his seventh match of the season with a 6-2, 6-1 win in No. 3 singles.
Daniel Vinces won a close 6-4, 2-6, 7-5 match in No. 5 singles and
Christian Banti rouded out the victories with a 6-3, 6-4 win in No. 6 singles.
Doubles
The Red Flash swept all-three doubles matches to earn the point. Varella and Fuste earned a win in No. 1 doubles 7-6 and moved to 6-4 as a duo.
Sebastian Pinos and
Andrew Teixeira won No. 2 doubles 6-1 and
Jordi Garcia and Banti won 6-3 in No. 3 doubles.

Singles
Bente Vandeputte led off the day with a 7-6 (7-2), 6-0 in No. 3 singles, her first win since Feb. 6.
Anoek Pruijmboom followed with a 6-2, 6-4 victory in No. 2 singles as she moved to 10-2 on the season.
Dominique Yeo earned a 3-6, 6-0, 6-3 victory in No. 1 singles and
Nagisa Miyake earned a 6-4, 6-6 win in No. 5 singles to round out Saint Francis' victories.
Doubles
Saint Francis earned the doubles point with a sweep of all-three matches played. The duo of Vandeputte and Vinces earned the day's first win with a 6-3 No. 2 doubles win. Miyake and Discini earned the second win with a 6-4 victory in No. 3 doubles and Yeo and Pruijmboom rounded out doubles with a 6-4 win in No. 1 doubles.
