LORETTO, Pa. -- Saint Francis University cross country head coach
Douglas Hoover has announced the schedule for the upcoming 2022 season.

The teams will compete in six regular season meets this season, including two home meets.

"I'm excited about the competition schedule for this fall," said Hoover. "It provides all our student-athletes with a great competitive experience and prepares us well for the postseason championships."

The Father Bede Invitational will kick off the Red Flash cross country season on September 2 at B & D Acres in Tyrone, Pennsylvania. The women's 5k will begin at 4:45 p.m. and the men's 6k at 4 p.m.

Following the invitational, the Red Flash will begin their road stint for four meets starting at the Saint Vincent College Invitational on September 9. The week after the Red Flash will travel to South Bend, Indiana for the National Catholic Invitational hosted by the University of Notre Dame.

On September 30, the Red Flash will return to competition in the Keystone State for the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University. The men and women will then compete in the Aubrey Shenk Invitational at Gettysburg on October 15 to round out their regular season meets before the Northeast Conference Championships (NEC) on October 28.

Saint Francis will host the NEC Championships this season with the women's 5k set to begin at 11 a.m. and the men's 8k at 12 p.m.

After the championships, Saint Francis will host the Red Flash Rally on November 6.

The NCAA Mid-Atlantic Championships will be hosted by Penn State on November 11 and the NCAA National Championships will be hosted by Oklahoma State on November 19.
