LORETTO, Pa. – Recent Saint Francis University women's basketball signee
Filippa Goula earned a spot on the Greece U20 National Team, the club announced on Wednesday. The transfer guard signed with Saint Francis on May 24.

The Greece National Team will participate in the FIBA U20 European Championship Division B in Skopje, North Macedonia from July 9-17. Greece will participate in Group A with Albania, Switzerland, Turkey and Ukraine after a drawing of all-four groups was held on Feb. 15.
Goula also made the 2021 team that went 4-0 in the European Championship Group D. She appeared in all-four games and averaged 7.3 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.8 steals per game. She was also a participant on the U16 and U18 teams.

Goula, a junior, signed with Saint Francis after she spent two seasons at Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colo. She led the team with 16.5 points, 4.8 assists and 2.8 steals per game in her sophomore season. She also carried a 39.9 field goal and 31.7 three-point shooting percentage.

The Ano Liosia, Greece native was publicly announced as a member of the Red Flash on June 28 to round out Saint Francis' eight-player 2022 signing class.
