Men's Soccer Earns United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Saint Francis University men's soccer team has earned the College Team Academic Award from United Soccer Coaches.

The squad earned a collective 3.52 grade point average during the 2021-22 academic year.

To be eligible for the distinction, teams must post a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher for the academic year. The team was one of 295 collegiate men's soccer teams to receive the distinction.

"Congratulations to each and every person on the team for making this possible," said head coach Frank Olszewski. "We are very proud of the effort that went into achieving this award. This accomplishment can only happen with contributions from the entire group. Knowing that this has now been achieved for four consecutive years really highlights their extraordinary academic commitment."

Since Olszewski's hiring in 2018, the team has earned the academic distinction every year.
