Red Flash Women's Soccer Falls Short Against Robert Morris

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
>> Saint Francis fell short in a very close contest to their former in-state rivals, the Robert Morris Colonials by a score of 2-1.
>> Freshman Raine Korpics scored her first collegiate goal for the Red Flash in the 59th minute.
>> Sarah McConnon notched five saves on 16 shots faced in the match.

TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME
Right after Raine Korpics tied the game at 1-1 in the 59th minute the Colonials came roaring back the next minute with a goal of their own to break the tie. The Red Flash had many chances to score after this sequence but were unable to get the ball in the back of the net. 

FLASH MOMENTS
Paige Theobald took an uncontested shot that hit off the side of the right post that bounced right to the feet of Raine Korpics who wasted no time registering her first career goal. 
Sarah McConnon midway through the second half layed out her entire body to stop a would be goal that hit off her fingertips and went out of play. 

FLASH NUGGETS
The Red Flash registered nine shots during the game with six of those coming in the second half where the offense continued to fire on the Robert Morris goalkeeper. 
Paige Theobald led the Red Flash with three shots and just following her was Lauren Pyle who registered two shots for Saint Francis. 

UP NEXT

The Red Flash will continue to stay on the road and head to Philadelphia, Pa to face La Salle on Thursday night. The match is scheduled for 6pm. The two teams will be playing live on ESPN+.
