>> Saint Francis University women's volleyball will open its road schedule up this weekend at the Hampton Inn Invitational hosted by IUPUI in Indianapolis, Ind.
>> The Red Flash will start the invite by taking on IUPUI on Friday, Sept. 2, at 7 p.m. Followed by two games on Saturday, Sept. 3 with a match against Montana at 10 a.m. and Drake at 3:30 p.m.

THE WORD ON IUPUI
The Jaguars opened its 2022 season at the Eastern Kentucky Tournament last weekend by taking on the host school, Eastern Kenutcky along with UT-Martin and Radford. IUPUI went 1-2 in the tournament by defeating Radford in straight sets.
Briana Brown led the way for the Jags with 28 kills on the weekend in Kentucky, while Sidney Veatch set up 84 assists and seven service aces from the team. Addie Evans posted 61 digs for the Indiana team.

Friday's match to the Jags marks the first meeting between the Red Flash and IUPUI.
THE WORD ON MONTANA
The Griz started the 2022 season last weekend by hosting the Ellesyn Invitational. Montana went 2-1 on the weekend after defeating North Dakota and UT Arlington in straight sets but falling in four to UC Davis.
LAST TIME WE MET MONTANA
The Red Flash and Griz had its only meeting in 2014 at the West Virginia Tournament. Saint Francis defeated Montana over four sets to hold the 1-0 overall advantage.
THE WORD ON DRAKE
The Bulldogs of Drake University started the 2022 season at the Amy Svoboda Memorial Classic hosted by the Air Force Academy. Drake went 2-1 on the weekend to take down CSUN in straight sets and Texas A&M – Commerce in four sets but fell to Air Force over a five set match.
Mariana Rodrigues leads the Bulldogs so far this season with 55 kills, while Addison Beagle has thrown up 132 assists for the squad. Jada Wills and Kaci Rewarts lead the team on the defensive side with 49 digs and 11.0 blocks, respectively on the season.

Saturday's match to the Bulldogs marks the first meeting between the Red Flash and Drake.
LAST TIME OUT
The Red Flash went 0-3 in the Red Flash Classic last weekend after taking on Gardner-Webb, Bellarmine and Bucknell. The squad fell in four to Gardner-Webb and Bellarmine, while dropping in a five-set thriller to Bucknell.
Madi Tyus led the squad with 46 kills on the weekend, while
Emma Fenton led the Red Flash in three categories with 73 assists, seven service aces and 41 digs.
Aubrey Deptula led the squad with 14.0 blocks in the three matches for the Red Flash.
UP NEXT
Following this weekend's matches in Indianapolis, the Red Flash will return home to take on fellow Pa., native Duquesne University on Tuesday, Sept. 6 at 6 p.m.
