TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
The Mastodons gained an early lead over the Red Flash to never allow the Saint Francis team to lead in set one. Despite losing the first set, McBrayer Arena saw some fantastic kills from Eicher, Murray, Hogan and
Aubrey Deptula (Boca Raton, Fla./Boca Raton Community). At one time in set one, the Red Flash were down by ten at a score of 19-9, but the Saint Francis team chipped away to come within four. However, Purdue Fort Wayne was able to come away with first set at a score of 25-20. The Mastodons continued their momentum to go on and claim the next two sets for the win.
FLASH MOMENTS
The Red Flash took its first lead of the game in the second set by starting it off with a 3-1 run. However, both teams continued to fight for the lead with the second set seeing ten tied scores and five lead changes. With the score 22-21 in favor of the Mastodons, the Red Flash put up a 3-0 run to have the 24-22 lead over Purdue Fort Wayne. However, the Mastodons responded with a 4-0 run to take the second set, 26-24.

The Saint Francis team claimed its first lead of the third set thanks to a service ace from Eicher. The Mastodons regained the lead thanks to a 3-0 run for the Purdue Fort Wayne team to make the score 6-3. The Red Flash never led again in the third set for Purdue Fort Wayne to claim the third set, 25-14.

FLASH NUGGETS
Murray's grand performance this weekend allowed the outside hitter to secure a spot on the Colonel Challenge All-Tournament Team. She collected 48 kills, 22 digs and four service aces over the three-game weekend.

UP NEXT
The Red Flash will now turn its attention to the Gata Challenge in Statesboro, Ga. on Sept. 16-17 featuring host school, Georgia Southern and fellow visitors, Chattanooga and Queens.
