Madi Tyus (Plano, Texas/Bishop Lynch) secured a new Saint Francis women's volleyball program record in the team's win over Chattanooga on Friday with 29 kills in the match.

Maggie Hogan (Northern Cambria, Pa./Northern Cambria) and
Allison Murray (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) followed closely behind. Hogan with 29 and Murray with 20 kills on the day.

Emma Fenton (Latrobe, Pa./Greater Latrobe) led the Red Flash with 81 assists on the day.

Aubrey Deptula (Boca Raton, Fla./Boca Raton Community) led the Saint Francis team in blocks overall with eight on the day.
TURNING POINT GAME 1 VS CHATTANOOGA
With the match tied at two, a fifth set was required. The Red Flash claimed a 2-0 lead over the Mocs to start the fifth set and never allowed Chattanooga to lead again in the match. A kill from Tyus coming off the hands of Fenton secured the fifth set for the Red Flash, 15-8, for the 3-2 win over the Mocs.
FLASH MOMENTS GAME 1 VS CHATTANOOGA
The Mocs started off the first set with a 6-1 lead over the Red Flash. Later in the first set with Chattanooga in control 7-13, the Red Flash collected a 7-1 run to tie the set at 14. The Mocs held Saint Francis from taking the lead until kills from Hogan and Tyus gave the Red Flash its first lead of the game to make the score 19-18. However, a 4-1 run from Chattanooga gave the Mocs the first set, 25-21.
The Red Flash continued the momentum they found from the first set on into set two by starting it off with a 4-2 run thanks to kills from Tyus, Murray and Hogan to never allow the Mocs to lead in set two. A kill from Tyus, followed by a service ace from Fenton clinched the second set for the Red Flash, 25-19.
The Red Flash maintained the lead throughout the majority of the third set. However, with Saint Francis up on the Mocs 20-13, Chattanooga came up with a 12-2 run to take the third set, 25-22. This was the Mocs first lead of the game since claiming the first set.
Chattanooga claimed the lead early in the fourth set to make the score 6-4 but the Red Flash responded with an 8-2 run to make the score 12-7 to never allow Chattanooga to take the lead again in the fourth set. A kill from Murray gave the Red Flash the fourth set, 25-18.
FLASH NUGGETS GAME 1 VS CHATTANOOGA
Deputula recorded a double-double in the win over the Mocs with ten kills and digs for a new single-game high in both categories.
Fenton and Murray each notched a new career high of 20 digs in the team's victory over Chattanooga, while Hogan matched her career high of 20 kills.
Besides earning a new single-game high in kills for her career and Saint Francis', Tyus also posted a new high of 70 total attacks in the team's win over the Mocs on Friday, which is only four away from the program record in total attacks.
TURNING POINT GAME 2 VS GEORGIA SOUTHERN
The Red Flash got on the board first to start the match off. However, that would be the only lead of the first set for the Red Flash as the Eagles responded with a 4-0 run to never allow the Red Flash to lead again. Despite losing the first set, Saint Francis came very close to making things interesting towards the end of the first set. With Saint Francis down 14-20, an 8-3 run put the Red Flash back within one to make the score 23-22 but it wasn't enough to keep Georgia Southern from claiming the first set, 25-22.
The Eagles continued its momentum from claiming the first set to be able to go on and claim the next two sets for the 3-0 for the host school.
FLASH MOMENTS GAME 2 VS GEORGIA SOUTHERN
The second and third sets started off very similar to the first in that the only lead the Red Flash had was at the very start of each set.
The Eagles maintained its lead throughout the majority of the second set to claim it at 25-14 to make Georgia Southern only one set away from the win. However, the second set still saw some fantastic kills from Murray, Tyus and
Drew Wallech (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown). The Eagles maintained its momentum into the third set to claim it, 25-13.
FLASH NUGGETS GAME 2 VS GEORGIA SOUTHERN
The Red Flash put up a combined 31 kills and 46 digs in the match for a total of 116 attacks.

The Red Flash will return to Hanner Fieldhouse tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 17 to take on Queens at 10:00 a.m. for its final game of the Gata Challenge.
