Andrew Deardorff (Itasca, Ill./Lake Park) and
Brady Stump (York, Pa./York Suburban) led the way for the Red Flash offensively with 46 kills for the outside trio.

Ryan Parker (East Northport, N.Y./Northport) led the team as a setter with 44 assists. In addition, Parker and Stump each posted three services apiece.

Thomas Leahey (State College, Pa./State College Area),
Peyton Blain (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) and Zini all led the Red Flash on the defensive end on Saturday. Leahey recorded eight blocks, while Blain and Zini each collected eight digs.
TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
With both teams tied at two sets a piece, the fifth set would be the final determination of Saturday's battle. With the final set tied at seven, The Cardinal recorded a 2-0 run to take the lead and hold it for the remainder of the fifth set. However, the Red Flash did not go away so easily, holding The Cardinal in four match points. Stanford earned the final set, 15-13.
FLASH MOMENTS
The Cardinal got on the board first in set one to never allow the Red Flash to lead in the first set. Stanford took the first set, 25-18.
The Red Flash found its rhythm in the second set. Set two started off going back-and-forth with both teams taking the lead on several occasions. However, with Saint Francis down 10-11, the Red Flash notched an 8-2 run to take the 18-13 lead and hold it until The Cardinal came back late in the set to tie it at 20. With the set tied at 22, the Red Flash posted a 3-1 run which featured two kills from Deardorff to give Saint Francis the second set, 25-23.
The third set was very similar to the second with both teams battling it out. With the Red Flash down 23-21 at the end of the third set, the team recorded a 4-0 run thanks to kills from Deardorff and Leahey and a block from Leahey and Zini to give Saint Francis the third set, 25-23.
The fourth set was a very close one between The Cardinal and Red Flash. However, despite the set tying on several occasions, The Cardinal maintained the lead for the entire fourth set.
FLASH NUGGETS
Sam Lane (Rochester, N.Y./Spencerport) made his collegiate debut in Saturday's game, while Lane and Stump both made their first collegiate start on Saturday.
Zini recorded a new game high of four blocks in Saturday's match, while Deardorff's 15 kills was a new game high as well.

The Red Flash will now turn its attention to a trip to Hawaii for two matches against the Rainbow Warriors on Jan. 18 and 20. Both games are scheduled for an 11:59 PM EST. / 7:00 PM HAST start.
