Football Earns Victory over Wagner on CBS Sports Network

LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University football defeated Wagner 31-7 in the first-ever Northeast Conference football game on CBS Sports Network.
 
What You Need to Know
» Cole Doyle went 13-of-24 with 161 passing yards, three touchdowns and one interception. He added four rushes for 71 yards.
» Jordan Jackson ran for a career-high 128 yards, while Dawson Snyder added six catches for 110 yards and one touchdown.
» Deondre Scott recorded 108 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns.
» Carter Glassmyer had a game-high 11 total tackles (seven solo) and added 1.5 tackles for loss and one sack.
» Eddie Bierals recorded the only other Red Flash sack, while seven players earned at least 0.5 tackles for loss.
» Saint Francis rushed for a season-high 273 yards and just 106 against.
 
Turning Points of the Game
Saint Francis scored the only points of the first quarter with a four-yard Scott touchdown run and took a 7-0 lead. The Red Flash added another touchdown with 3:31 remaining in the half and opened a 14-0 lead before Wagner scored with 28 second remaining and cut the lead to 14-7.
 
In the second half, Mac Plummer's 25-yard field goal opened a 17-7 lead with 6:12 remaining in the third quarter. On a fourth-and-goal from the four-yard line, Doyle connected with Aaron Tutino and opened a 24-7 lead with 10:05 remaining in the game. Scott scored his second touchdown of the game with 1:01 remaining to seal Saint Francis' 31-7 victory.
 
Flash Nuggets
Saint Francis has now held an opponent scoreless in five of the last eight quarters. The Red Flash held an opponent without a point during a half for the second-straight game.
 
Jackson shattered his previous career-high of 75 rushing yards, which he set this season against Sacred Heart.
 
Doyle recorded a career-long 48-yard run in the fourth quarter. The game also marked Doyle's second time with three touchdown passes during the conference season.
 
Glassmyer led Saint Francis in tackles for the third straight game and is up to 40 total tackles in three conference games this season.
 
Saint Francis set a new home attendance record with 2,878 fans in attendance.
 
Next
The Red Flash return to action on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 1 p.m. against in-state rival Duquesne.
