Saint Francis men's soccer (5-0-6, 3-0-2 NEC) will hit the road for a massive road test as they travel to take on Northeast Conference opponent Sacred Heart on Sunday, October 22 at 12:00 p.m. at Park Ave Field in Fairfield, Connecticut.
LAST TIME OUT
The Red Flash are coming off a dominant 2-1 home win Thursday afternoon against LIU to extend their unbeaten streak to 11 on the season.

Joschi Schelb was the catalyst for the Red Flash offense netting his third goal of the season and producing a career high five shots in the match. JuniorÂ
Patrick Heron scored the match winning goal and his first goal the season against the Sharks. The forward also picked up his second assist of the season on Schelb's goal.

With the victory, the Red Flash are one of four teams in the nation that remain unbeaten (WVU, Michigan State, SIUE and SFU).
THE WORD ON THE PIONEERS
Sacred Heart is 5-6-2 on the season and 2-1-2 in conference under the direction of second year head coach Anthony Anzevui. The Pioneers have collected NEC victories over Merrimack (4-1) and CCSU (2-0).

Sacred Heart is led offensively by Olliver Persson who has five goals on the season. David Garcia Gallego has three goals on the season and a team high 38 shots.

Goalkeeper Andrew Hammersley has started in net for the Pioneers for all 13 matches this season. Hammersley has allowed 17 goals and registered 45 saves.

The Pioneers were voted to finish fourth in the NEC and are currently in fourth place with eight points.
LAST TIME WE MET
The Red Flash fell to the Pioneers in the first round of the 2022 NEC Tournament 1-0 at Park Ave Field. During the 2022 regular season, Saint Francis lost to Sacred Heart 1-0 in Loretto.

Saint Francis leads the all-time series against Sacred Heat 19-4-2 with matches dating back to 1999. The Red Flash are 8-1-1 against the Pioneers on the road.
