FLASH NUGGETS
Saint Francis will participate in the NEC Tournament for the fifth time in program history and in back-to-back seasons for the second time in program history after accomplishing the feat in 2011 and 2012. It will be the seventh postseason appearance in program history after two appearances when the Red Flash was a member of the Atlantic-10.

Sattler moves into third place in program history with 10 assists this season. She is the first player to accomplish the feat since Shannon Pereira had 10 helpers in 2016. The freshman becomes the fifth different player to hand out double-figure assists in a season and now has two goals and 10 assists for 14 points on the year. It is the second time this season Sattler had dished out two assists in a game and three helpers in a weekend.

Valentini, the current NEC Player of the Week, posted two goals and an assist for five points on the weekend and now has nine tallies and three assists for 21 points in 2023. With one goal, the junior will notch her second-straight 10 goal performance and become the fourth player in team history to have two seasons in double-digit goals. The four-time NEC Player of the Week in her career has 29 tallies and 15 assists for 73 points to sit in fifth place in both goals and points in program history for her career.

Muffitt has registered three goals and an assist in her last three matches and now has four goals and two assists for 10 points on the year. The senior has 11 tallies and three assists for 24 points in her career. Muffitt has posted 10 of her 11 goals on the road and seven of her tallies in the Northeastern region of the country with two goals at Bryant in her sophomore year, two at Sacred Heart last year, two at Merrimack on Friday and one at Stonehill on Sunday.

Ortiz has posted all seven of her points this season in the last five matches and now has 12 goals and six assists for 30 points in her Saint Francis career. Similar to Muffitt, Ortiz has had a lot of success in the northern part of the country as a Red Flash with six goals and two assists for 14 points against teams in the northeastern tier of the country.

Just like Sattler, Waldspurger notched three assists this weekend and has three goals and six assists this season for 12 points and seven goals and seven assists for 21 points in her career.

Breneman has four tallies and two assists for nine points in 2023 and 10 markers and seven assists for 27 points in her Red Flash career.

The 10-6 record on the year is the third-best start in program history, while the 5-1 record in the NEC matches the best league start in team history with the 2012 team.
