Women's Volleyball to Host Final Home Matches of the Season

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
>>The Red Flash will host Sacred Heart and CCSU for their last home matches of the season. They will play the Pioneers on Friday at 5 p.m. Saturday's match against the Blue Devils will take place at 5 p.m. and honor this year's seniors.

>>The team will also be collecting canned and non-perishable items as a part of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee's annual food drive.

THE WORD ON SACRED HEART
Sacred Heart is tied for first place in the NEC with an 8-2 record.

Camryn Luginbuhl leads the Pioneers in kills with 215. Freshman Gaby Zovko dominates for Sacred Heart in assists and service aces with 554 and 46, respectively. Jasmine Rogers has tallied 316 digs, the most for Sacred Heart. Cristina Montanez leads the Sacred Heart defense with 73 blocks this season.


LAST TIME WE MET SACRED HEART
The Red Flash faced the Pioneers in mid-October, falling in five sets on the road.

Despite the loss, Skye Eicher led Saint Francis in kills with 20 and earned a double-double with 10 digs. Maggie Hogan recorded a career-high eight service aces, with five service aces happening in the fourth set. Hogan also led the team in digs with 13. On defense, Ava Holden and Drew Wallech led Saint Francis in blocks with four assisted blocks each.


THE WORD ON CCSU
CCSU is currently sixth in the NEC with a 3-7 conference record.

Weronika Poczynek leads the Blue Devils with 224 kills and 257 digs. Isabelle Roufs leads in blocks for CCSU with 73 blocks this season. Larissa Hiemer leads the team in assists with 352 this season.

LAST TIME WE MET CCSU
Saint Francis swept CCSU last month.

Skye Eicher led the Red Flash in kills, service aces and digs, tallying 15 kills, three aces and 14 digs. Ava Holden led the team in blocks with one solo and one assisted block with Kori McClure right behind her with two assisted blocks.


LAST TIME OUT
The Red Flash beat the Le Moyne Dolphins in a sweep, preventing the Dolphins from scoring more than 14 points.

Skye Eicher led Saint Francis in kills with 14, notching her 500th career kill in the opening set. She also led the team in digs with 13, earning her 10th double-double of the season. Drew Wallech tallied three service aces, which led the team. Each with two assisted blocks, Aubrey Deptula, Maggie Hogan and Wallech led the Red Flash's defensive efforts.

UP NEXT
The Red Flash will finish the 2023 regular season on the road against FDU and LIU. Saint Francis will play FDU on Friday the 10th at 5 p.m. and LIU on Saturday the 11th at 5 p.m.
