LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University football fell 29-28 to LIU in its final home game of the season on Senior Day.

Turning Points of the Game
Saint Francis opened the scoring with
Jake Bruno's first-career touchdown with 4:47 remaining in the first quarter and took a 7-0 lead. LIU rounded out the first quarter scoring with a 31-yard field goal. LIU took the team 10-7 on a two-yard rushing touchdown before Scott scored from one yard out and regained the lead 14-10 into halftime.

Jackson opened the second-half scoring with an eight-yard touchdown run and gave Saint Francis a 21-10 lead. LIU's Owen Glascoe scored a 30-yard touchdown and cut the Red Flash lead to 21-17 after three quarters.

In the fourth,
Mason Imbt scored a touchdown after he recovered a fumble in the end zone and gave Saint Francis a 28-17 lead. LIU cut the deficit back to five points, 28-23, after a Davon Well 16-yard touchdown and failed two-point conversion. LIU took the lead 29-28 with 1:37 remaining in the game after Glascoe's third touchdown of the game.
Tobee Stokes returned the ensuing kickoff to the LIU 44-yard line, but Saint Francis was unable to convert a first down.

Saint Francis fell to 3-3 in conference play this season, with all-three losses by three points or less. Five of the six conference games this season were decided by one score.

Whitfield Jr.'s 18 completions and 209 passing yards were the second-most by a Red Flash quarterback this season. He is 28-of-44 (63.6-percent) with 373 passing yards, two passing touchdowns and no interceptions as a starter this season.

Scott set a career-high with his 106 rushing yards and has scored five touchdowns in the last five games.

Glassmyer raised his season total tackles to 80 and has 6.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and one forced fumble.

Hill is the only Red Flash player with multiple interceptions and he has seven total passes defended this season.
