Women's Volleyball to Wrap Up Regular Season on the Road

>>The Red Flash are wrapping up their regular season campaign on the road against FDU and LIU. The match against FDU will be on Friday at 5 p.m., and the match with LIU will be on Saturday at 5 p.m.

CHAMPIONSHIP CHANCES
With the fourth seed of the 2023 NEC Women's Volleyball Championship still up for grabs, it is well within reach for Saint Francis this weekend. The Red Flash needs to win one of their final two matches to clinch a spot in the tournament. They can also clinch if Merrimack loses one of their final matches this weekend.

THE WORD ON FDU
FDU is currently first in the NEC with a 10-2 record.

Tatijana Fucka leads the Knights in kills with 233 this season. Sofia Rampazzo leads the team in digs with 296. The Fucka sisters hold the top spots in blocks for FDU with Rebeka Fucka leading with 90 kills and Tatijana in second with 82.

LAST TIME WE MET FDU
The Red Flash last faced the Knights back in September, defeating FDU in four sets at home.

Allison Murray tallied the most kills in the win for Saint Francis with 16. Aubrey Deptula dominated for the Red Flash defense, earning six blocks. Emma Fenton led in assists with 20. Skye Eicher registered the most digs for Saint Francis with 14.  

THE WORD ON LIU
The Sharks are currently third in the NEC with an 8-4 record.

Camelia Melendez leads LIU in kills with 296 kills. Selina Koç leads in assists and service aces with 699 and 30, respectively. Defensively, Rumur Rouille has tallied 114 blocks, the most for the Sharks. Alasha Colon has 537 digs this season, leading LIU.

LAST TIME WE MET LIU
Saint Francis fell to LIU in three sets back in September.

Korrin Burns led in kills for the Red Flash with 12. Aubrey Deptula tallied four total blocks. Skye Eicher, Maggie Hogan and Burns each recorded 10 digs, leading the team.
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Red Flash defeated CCSU in straight sets at home in last Saturday's senior day match.

Skye Eicher led Saint Francis in kills with 14. Aubrey Deptula, Allison Murray and Drew Wallech each recorded four total blocks. Emma Fenton led in digs and assists for the Red Flash with 10 digs and 19 assists.

Eicher earned NEC/Molten Player of the Week, and Deptula earned NEC/Molten Defensive Player of the Week. They were joined by Murray as NEC Prime Performers.

UP NEXT
Should the Red Flash clinch the final tournament spot, they will travel to the highest seed for the tournament, which will take place on November 17 and 18.
