UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.  – Saint Francis University fell on the road to Penn State on Sunday afternoon, 119-43.
 
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
» Kendall Carruthers had a team-high 11 points and added two assists and one steal.
» Destini Ward scored 10 points, while Yanessa Boyd added nine.
» Fanta Daffe and Kameryn Dorsey each had a team-high four rebounds.
» Penn State's Leilan Kapinus had a game-high 25 points on 9-of-13 shooting.

TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME
Penn State held a 5-4 lead just over two minutes into the game before the Nittany Lions went on a 20-6 run and led 25-10 with 1:40 in the first quarter. Saint Francis ended the quarter with a 5-3 advantage, but Penn State held a 28-15 lead. In the second, Penn State outscored Saint Francis 39-9 and opened a 67-24 lead at the half.
 
The Nittany Lions outscored the Red Flash 22-12 in the third quarter and 30-7 in the fourth quarter to clinch its victory.

FLASH NUGGETS
Carruthers now has a team-high six double-digit scoring games this season. Ward and Boyd are one behind her with five each.
 
Marissa Shelton tied her career-high with eight points and two made three-point field goals.
 
Along with her four rebounds, Dorsey added two steals for the first time in her career.
