SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Saint Francis University dropped its final matchup against a Power Five opponent of the season, Syracuse, 85-43 in front of a crowd of 9,109 fans.

TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME
Syracuse opened the game on a 23-0 run for nearly eight minutes before Saint Francis scored on a Ward layup with 2:06 remaining in the first. After Syracuse led 26-6 after the first, the Orange outscored the Red Flash 19-9 in the second and took a 45-15 lead at the half.
Syracuse opened the third on an 8-3 run and led 53-18 before a 14-8 Red Flash run to end the frame cut the deficit to 61-32. Syracuse then outscored Saint Francis 24-11 in the fourth quarter to clinch the victory.
FLASH NUGGETS
Gibson's seven rebounds were the third highest in her career. She has at least seven rebounds in three of the last seven games.
Ward led the team in points for the second time this season. She has at least eight points in seven straight games.
The 9,109 fans in attendance for Syracuse's School Day were the most Saint Francis played in front of since 9,126 fans at Tennessee on Dec. 3, 2014.
