LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University women's basketball earned its first victory of the season 69-59 over Morgan State. The Red Flash went on a 14-3 run in the final three minutes of the game.

TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME
Saint Francis worked its way to an early eight-point lead, 16-8, with 2:56 remaining in the first quarter before Morgan State cut the deficit to 18-16 at the end of the frame. In the second quarter, Saint Francis worked its way to a nine-point, 34-25, lead by halftime.
Out of the break, Morgan State cut the deficit to five points with 7:33 remaining in the third and worked its way to a four-point, 43-39 deficit at the end of the quarter.
The Bears outscored the Red Flash 12-7 to begin the fourth quarter and had its first lead of the game, 51-50, with 5:28 remaining. After a back-and-forth few minutes, Morgan State still led by one point, 56-55, with 3:13 remaining. In the final three minutes of the game, Saint Francis went on 14-3 run to clinch its double-digit victory.
FLASH NUGGETS
Carruthers has now scored at least 12 points in five straight games and has twice scored at least 20 in that stretch. She is averaging a team-high 13.5 points per game overall this season.
Ward tied a career-high with 16 points and has scored in double figures four of the last five games.
Gibson's 13 points more than doubled her previous career-high of six. She fell two rebounds shy of a double-double with eight, which is her second-most in a game this season.
Harris Robinson went 2-for-2 from three-point territory, which included the first three points of Saint Francis 14-3 run at the end of the game.
Kameryn Dorsey dished out seven assists, which is the most by a Red Flash player this season. The previous game-high was four.
