LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University women's basketball dropped its final non-conference home game of the season 69-32 to Youngstown State.

TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME
Youngstown State took an early 10-2 lead in the first and ended the quarter with a 16-4 lead. In the second, Saint Francis narrowly cut into the deficit, 18-9, with 8:19 remaining in the half before an 18-8 run saw the Penguins lead 36-17 at halftime.
In the third quarter, Youngstown State outscored Saint Francis 18-4 and opened a 33-point, 54-21 lead. Youngstown State slowly increased its lead in the fourth quarter before clinching its 37-point victory.
FLASH NUGGETS
Ward led Saint Francis in points for the first time this season. The game also marked her third this season with at least three steals.
Daffe set a new personal Saint Francis-high with six points and 17 minutes played. It was her third time this season with double-digit minutes played.
Kendall Carruthers saw a five-game double-digit scoring streak snap on Saturday. She still leads Saint Francis with 12.8 points per game.
