LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University men's and women's tennis prepare to face Niagara on Saturday, Feb. 18 and St. Bonaventure on Sunday, Feb. 19.
Men's Tennis Quick Hits
Saint Francis has a 3-3 record and has recorded all-three wins in its past four matches.
Adam Kush leads the Red Flash with a 3-3 record in singles matches this season with all played in the No. 3 spot. He also carries the best doubles record at 4-2 with partner
Gregory Troyan.
Fabio Varella and
Marc Fuste each have two wins in No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively.
Scouting Niagara
The Purple Eagles carry a 2-3 dual record and are 1-3 during the spring season. Outside of a 7-0 win over Daemen on Feb. 4, Niagara has only one match victory this spring – recorded by Jorge Sedeno in No. 4 singles against Cornell.
All-Time vs. Niagara
The Purple Eagles hold a 3-2 advantage over the Red Flash and won the most recent match 5-2 last season. Fuste recorded the only Saint Francis singles victory in last season's match. Saint Francis won two matches in a row 7-0 in 2016-17 prior to last season's loss.
Scouting St. Bonaventure
The Bonnies hold a 2-5 record this spring, with victories over Loyola (Md.) and Mercyhurst. St. Bonaventure is 0-1 in Atlantic 10 play after a 6-1 loss to Davidson on Feb. 3. Archie Graham leads the Bonnies at 3-3 this spring but did not compete in the last match played.

Saint Francis and St. Bonaventure hold an even 5-5 all-time record. The Bonnies won back-to-back meetings in 2021 and 2022 after the Red Flash produced a five-match winning streak between 2014-18. In last season's narrow 4-3 loss, Varella was the only current Saint Francis player with a singles win.
Women's Tennis Quick Hits
Saint Francis carries a 5-3 overall dual record and a 4-2 record during the spring season.
Bente Vandeputte leads the way with a 6-2 singles record, with five of the six wins in the No. 2 match.
Valeria Vinces is 5-2,
Anoek Pruijmboom is 4-2 record and
Kelly Dowuona is 3-2. In doubles, Vinces leads the way with three victories, while four other players have two wins.
Scouting Niagara
The Purple Eagles sit at 3-3 overall in dual matches and 2-1 in the spring. They took a 5-2 win over NCAA Division II member Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a 4-3 win over Binghamton.

Saint Francis holds a 3-1 all-time advantage since the first meeting in 2013. The Red Flash won the last two matches, which included a 5-2 victory last season. Current Saint Francis players Pruijmboom and Vinces both recorded singles victories in the win.
Scouting St. Bonaventure
The Bonnies enter the weekend with a 4-5 record and is 0-1 in Atlantic 10 matches. St. Bonaventure won back-to-back matches heading into the weekend against NCAA Division II members Slippery Rock and Mercyhurst. The Bonnies face Bucknell on Saturday, who Saint Francis defeated 4-3 this season, before they face the Red Flash on Sunday.

Saint Francis and St. Bonaventure own an even 6-6 record since the first match in 2009. Saint Francis won the most recent match 4-3 last season behind singles victories from current players Pruijmboom and Vinces.
