WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Saint Francis men's tennis fell to top-seeded Binghamton, 4-1, in the NEC Men's Tennis Championship quarterfinals after defeating Chicago State, 4-1, in the opening round earlier Thursday at the Mercer County Tennis Center in West Windsor, New Jersey.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Coming into the match, Chicago State had to default on court six in singles and court three in doubles due to a lack of players. In doubles action, the team of Kevin Titus, Suresh, and Jonah Ng clinched the crucial doubles point by easily defeating their Cougar opponents, 6-2.
Looking ahead to singles play, the Red Flash won three of the four matches on the scorecard. Starting on court four, freshman Mario Beckles battled past his opponent with a final score of 6-2, 6-4. Sophomore Noah Potts sealed the victory with a back-and-forth win, 7-5, 6-4.

Match two began later in the day. While Saint Francis was unable to secure the win, Beckles was responsible for the sole victory against the Bearcats. The underclassman finishes the year with 14 wins.
