ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – Saint Francis University men's and women's tennis fell in their matches at St. Bonaventure on Sunday.
Women's: Saint Francis 3, St. Bonaventure 4
Doubles
Saint Francis took the doubles point with a win in the No. 1 and No. 3 matches played.
Kelly Dowuona and
Anoek Pruijmboom took a 7-6 win in No. 1 doubles and
Marie Discini and
Bente Vandeputte won 6-4 in the No. 3 match.
Singles
The Bonnies took four of the six singles matches to earn its 4-3 win. The only Red Flash wins came 6-0, 6-2 by Vandeputte in the No. 2 match and 6-2, 6-2 by
Valeria Vinces in the No. 5 match.
Men's: Saint Francis 0, St. Bonaventure 7
Doubles
The Bonnies took the doubles point with wins in all-three matches played. The smallest margin of defeat for Saint Francis was a 7-5 loss by
Zachary Palko and
Patrick Reese in the No. 3 match.
Singles
St. Bonaventure won all-six singles matches played, which included straight-set wins in four of the six.
Matt Kozar took a 6-2, 2-6, 8-10 loss in No. 4 singles and
Gregory Troyan won 7-5, 5-7, 8-10 in the NO. 5 match.
