CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Saint Francis University softball defeated George Mason 1-0 in 10 innings and fell 4-0 to DePaul is a split of its first day at the Palmer Park Clash.

TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME (GM)
» After only one baserunner in the first two innings, Saint Francis loaded the bases with two walks and a single before George Mason escaped the jam with back-to-back strikeouts.
» In the sixth inning, George Mason recorded its first hit of the game and had runners on second and third with two outs before Vesco ended the inning with a strikeout.
» The game was scoreless until the 10th inning when Nash hit an infield single off the pitcher's glove that drove in
Madelyn Wilson for a 1-0 lead.
» In the bottom half, Vesco recorded two strikeouts for a new career high of 14 and stranded a runner on second to seal the shutout 10-inning victory.
TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME (DEP)
» Saint Francis and DePaul were scoreless until the Blue Demons scored the first run in the fifth inning on a single up the middle.
» With a 1-0 lead heading to the sixth inning, DePaul added three more runs in the inning on an error, groundout and single. With Saint Francis unable to score any runs in the final two innings, DePaul clinched its 4-0 win.

» Vesco moved to second in program history with 461-career strikeouts after her career-high 14 against George Mason. The victory also moves her into sole possession of second in program history with 46.
» Nash recorded the first two multi-hit performances of her career after she entered the weekend with one hit in her first 15 at-bats. The double and RBI were both the second of her career.
» Baker recorded her second multi-hit game of the season against George Mason and her first extra-base hit.
