Elisabeth Zajdel (Windber, Pa.) finished seventh after one round of the Quail Valley Spring Invitational to pace the Saint Francis women's golf team on Monday.
>> Both players finished with a scored 81 to sit five strokes behind the current leader. Norcross carded a birdie on No. 12 with nine pars, while Zajdel posted 10 pars in her round to each finish with a total of 81.
>> The Red Flash sit in second place after one round of play.

Abby Zambruno (Mount Pleasant, Pa.) (13th place, 85), Sidney Clements (East Sparta, Ohio) (15th place, 86),

Marlie Krug (Loretto, Pa.) (27th place, 116) also competed in the event for the Loretto program.

Sikora registered eight pars, while Zambruno had a birdie on No. 12 and seven pars. LaRose registered seven pars in the opening round. Clements and Krug are participating the event as individuals.

Mount St. Mary's leads the event with a score of 308, 23 strokes ahead of Saint Francis (331) while LaSalle (339), UMES (357) and Mount St. Mary's B team (369) are also competing in the competition.
