The 10 newcomers will join seven returners from last year's Northeast Conference (NEC) third place team and NEC Tournament semifinal participant. Sophomores

"The staff did a tremendous job of working to find student athletes who are the right fit for Saint Francis University both on and off the court," said Krimmel. "Coach (Andrew) Helton did a remarkable job coordinating the efforts and I am grateful for all the time that was spent by the rest of the staff as they worked to bring a group of young men to campus that will be impactful on the court, in the classroom, and in the community."
CHRIS MONCRIEF
Chris Moncrief is a 6-6 forward from Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania, who spent last season at the University of Evansville. In his last two games at Evansville, he registered a career-high in minutes (29) against Illinois State and a career-best nine points against Indiana State. Moncrief appeared in 19 games off the bench with the Aces and shot 37.8 percent from the floor (28-for-74). Moncrief, a 2022 graduate of the Kiski School, was named to the Pennsylvania All-State Non-PIAA second team as a senior after he averaged 19.0 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. He also led his team in assists (84) and steals (51). Prep Hoops had Moncrief ranked as the 178th best senior in the nation, the second-best in the Keystone State and the top small forward in the state in 2022. In addition, he was named the team's Most Valuable Player in each of his final three seasons.
ROB KRIMMEL ON CHRIS MONCRIEF
"Chris is an athletic guard who can play multiple positions on the floor and score in a variety of ways. He has a very good feel for the game and can make plays for himself and for others, especially in the open court. Chris is also a very good defender who can block shots and play in passing lanes."
BRAYLEN BLUE
Braylen Blue is a 6-5 guard from James Madison Memorial High School in Madison, Wisc. In only two years at James Madison Memorial, Blue ended his career ranked fourth in career 3-pointers and 10 in both steals and assists, while posting the second-most 3-pointers, sixth-most assists and 10th-most steals in single-season program history. Named to the All-Big Eight Conference second team, Blue had an eight-game span last year with three games with at least 17 points, seven assists and two contests with at least six steals. During this stretch he registered 28 points in one game and stuffed the stat sheet with 17 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and five steals to help his team win six of the eight games. Named to the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Boy's All-Star Game, his team Most Valuable Player and a spot on the all-conference team, Blue had 16 scholarship offers including from Washington and Arizona State. Blue's cousin, Vander, played for Marquette and has earned NBA contracts with the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics.
ROB KRIMMEL ON BRAYLEN BLUE
"Braylen is a skilled guard with great size. He can really shoot the ball and has a great feel for the game. He can create for himself and for others and makes good decisions in the paint. Braylen can play multiple positions in the backcourt because of his play making abilities, size, and ability to shoot."
AIDAN HARRIS
Aidan Harris, a 6-7 forward from Saint Mary's High School in Annapolis, Md., finished his high school career scoring over 1,000 points. During his senior season, he posted a career-high 36 points in a game and had 31 points to lead his team to its second-straight MIAA B conference title. After averaging 14.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game in his junior campaign, Harris averaged 19.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game in his senior year to be named the Anne Arundel County Male Athlete of the Year and the Capital Gazette Boys' Basketball Player of the Year. He was also named to the all-conference and all-district team.
Harris' father, Quinn, is no stranger to Cambria County after a standout career at Pitt Johnstown from 1988-93. Quinn, left as the Mountain Cats all-time leading scorer with 1,410 points, a distinction he held until 2000. He was inducted into the Pitt Johnstown Hall of Fame in 2012.
ROB KRIMMEL ON AIDAN HARRIS
"Aidan is a hard-nosed forward who can score around the rim and is also tough to guard on the perimeter with his ability to handle and shoot. He has a great feel playing in the high post and plays with great energy making others around him better."
CARLOS LOPEZ, Jr.
Carlos Lopez, Jr., a 6-2 guard, played the 2022-23 season at Feltrim Academy in Florida after having a standout high school career at Egg Harbor Township in New Jersey. He was named a finalist for the 2023 Florida State Sun Basketball Conference Player of the Year, while also garnering first-team honors after averaging 25.6 points per game. In his four years at Egg Harbor Township, Lopez registered 1,151 career points with 38 games with at least 20 points and 10 30-point games in 95 career games. Lopez, who made 252 career 3-pointers, averaged 21.7 points per game and connected on 76 from behind the arc to lead his team to the South Jersey Group IV semifinals and Cape-Atlantic League (CAL) United Division championship as a senior. The 2022 Press and CAL Player of the Year registered a career-high 39 points against Vineland on February 6, 2020.
ROB KRIMMEL ON CARLOS LOPEZ
"Carlos is an aggressive scoring guard. He can score on all three levels and is very good at reading ball screen coverages. He is very efficient in transition and will put pressure on the defense as soon as he gets the ball looking to make plays for himself and for his teammates."
AARON HUMPHREY, JR.
Aaron Humphrey, Jr., an Indianapolis, Ind., native, is a 6-6 forward that played last season at Don Bosco Institute after finishing his high school career at Charles A. Tindley. In his final game with Don Bosco, Humphrey registered 19 points to help the team defeat Dohn Prep 90-74 in the North American Cup on February 26, 2023. Just like his senior year of high school, Humphrey averaged 18.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game. He was named a Hoosier Basketball Magazine Top 60 Boys Basketball Player in his senior year along with earning team Most Valuable Player honors. Humphrey received small school all-state and all-city recognition in his final two years at Charles A. Tindley and was the Most Valuable Player of the conference as a junior.
ROB KRIMMEL ON AARON HUMPHREY, JR.
"Aaron is a versatile forward who impacts the game around the basket and on the perimeter. He is a very good shooter with range to the 3-point line and can put the ball on the floor and finish at the rim. Aaron is also a very good rebounder and averaged double digit rebounds this past season."
BOBBY ROSENBERGER, III
Bobby Rosenberger III, a 6-5 guard/forward, comes to Loretto after helping the Perkiomen School earn its first PASIAA state title in program history. Rosenberger sent the game to overtime with a basket in the waning seconds of regulation and then won the game with two free throws with one second left in a 79-77 overtime win against the George School. Rosenberger averaged 15.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists per game in his senior year, while connecting on 66 percent of his field goal attempts and 42.7 percent from behind the arc. He was named Perkiomen School Male Athlete of the Year and earned a spot on the City of Basketball Love Non-PAIAA second team in his senior campaign. He also excels in the classroom and was named a NHSCA Academic All-American.
ROB KRIMMEL ON BOBBY ROSENBERGER, III
"Bobby is a tough, versatile guard with the ability to attack off the bounce and stretch the defense with his jumper. He is an aggressive rebounder who plays fearlessly on both ends. Bobby led his team to a state title and is not afraid of performing on the big stage."
AARON "ACE" TALBERT
Aaron "Ace" Talbert, a 6-foot guard, comes to Saint Francis from the Combine Academy in North Carolina, where he averaged 13.0 points and 8.0 assists per game, while shooting 40 percent behind the arc. He registered at least three double-doubles last season with points and assists including a 12-assist output and a 21-point performance. Talbert, a Long Island native, graduated from the Scotland Campus in Pennsylvania and also attended the Knox School in New York for his first three years of high school. He averaged 17.6 points and 6.2 assists per game in his career in high school. He was named an All-Academic Basketball All-American, a Top-100 in Long Island and to the All-Section 11 team. Talbert helped his team to the GAC title.
ROB KRIMMEL ON AARON "ACE" TALBERT
"Aaron is a strong, quick point guard who has a great feel for the game. He is excellent in the open court with his ability to score the ball and make the right reads. Aaron is a very good shooter who can also play off the ball if needed. He is an aggressive defender who can impact that game on both ends."
ELI WILBORN
Eli Wilborn, a 6-7 forward, comes to Loretto from the South Kent Preparatory School in Connecticut after a four-year career at Middletown High School. He is ranked as the No. 26 best player in the 2023 class in Connecticut and No. 79 in New England. Wilborn helped South Kent to the NEPSAC-AAA Championships in his lone season at the school. An all-state and all-conference performer at Middletown, Wilborn was invited to the third annual New Haven Showcase, an event for the Top-25 players in Eastern Connecticut. Wilborn recorded the game-winning basket on a tip-in during the Round of 16 in his senior year at Middletown after tallying 29 points and 20 rebounds in the previous contest. He also hauled in 29 boards in a game in January 2022.
ROB KRIMMEL ON ELI WILBORN
"Eli is an athletic forward who can guard multiple positions. He is very good at scoring the ball around the rim. Eli runs the floor extremely well and can impact the game on both ends of the floor with his versatility and athleticism."
BLAZE ANGELLOTTI
Blaze Angellotti, a 6-4 guard, was a three-year letterwinner for Bald Eagle Area High School and served as team captain. A two-time, all-conference performer and an all-county honoree, Angellotti averaged 9.8 point and 5.0 rebounds per game in his senior year.

"Blaze will be a great addition to our program. He is a skilled forward who can score both inside and outside. Blaze is an excellent student and helped Bald Eagle Area Basketball reach new heights during his time at the school."
RYEN GRESKO
Ryen Gresko, a 5-11 guard, becomes the third Gresko to don the black and red after a three-year career on the Penns Manor boys' basketball team. An All-Indiana Gazette performer in his senior year, Gresko shot 43 percent from behind the arc and 80.0 percent from the free throw line in his high school career. Gresko made seven baskets from behind the arc on his way to 21 points against Cambria Heights in January 2023.
Gresko's brother, Aric, appeared in 16 games with one start from 2012-15 on the hardwood for the Red Flash. He registered a career-high three points and two rebounds against Keystone in his senior year. His sister, Katee, was a four-year member of the Saint Francis women's cross country and women's track and field team from 2012-15.
ROB KRIMMEL ON RYEN GLESKO
"I am excited to have Ryen in our program. Ryen is an excellent shooter and had a great career on the court and in the classroom at Penns Manor. He comes from a great family, and he will be the second Gresko to play for us following in the footsteps of his older brother Aric who graduated in 2015."
