Marco Pecora Named a Recipient of the GRAPHITE Award

LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University football offensive coordinator Marco Pecora was named a recipient of the GRAPHITE Award, presented by RII Sports Technology for the first time.

The award recognizes offensive play calling efficiency at the Division I level. Saint Francis held a 76.8 percent play calling efficiency rating last season, which led the Northeast Conference. In 2022, Saint Francis set a program record with 54 total touchdowns (51 by the offense), 30 passing touchdowns and 5,147 total offensive yards.

Quarterback Cole Doyle set a program record with a 169.6 passing efficiency that ranked fifth in the FCS. He twice tied a single-game program record last season with five passing touchdowns and threw for the second-most single-game yards with 412 in the NEC Championship at Merrimack. Doyle was a Walter Payton Award Finalist and NEC Offensive Player of the Year.

Under Pecora's guidance, the 2022 Saint Francis offense earned four All-American selections, two major NEC yearly awards and six total All-NEC honors.

Saint Francis won its second NEC title last season with a 7-0 record in conference play. The Red Flash offense averaged 41 points per game in conference play and won the seven games by an average margin of 34.6 points.

The Red Flash are set to open the 2023 season on Thursday, Aug. 31 at 7 p.m. against FBS opponent Western Michigan.
