FLASH QUOTE

"I'm really proud of how the team came together today. I actually had no clue those were the stats going into the match," Sara Spielvogel said. "We are a very process-oriented team, so we kept our goals based upon the systems we wanted to run, and it feels good to get the results."

TURNING POINTS

After trading points throughout the third set, the Red Flash capitalized on a service error to break a 24-24 tie. Burns had the set-winning kill to put Saint Francis up 2-1 in the match.

The Penguins did not make it easy for the Red Flash. The score was once again tied 24-24 when a kill by Eicher separated the score. Allison Murray (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and Aubrey Deptula (Boca Raton, Fla.) dealt the match-winning block.

FLASH MOMENT
Late in set two, the Red Flash went on a seven-point run, going from down 17-24 to tying the set. Scoring off of three errors by the Penguins, Murray and Burns registered three combined kills during the run. Alexandra Sappia (West Palm Beach, Fla.) scored on a service ace.

FLASH NUGGETS

Burns led the team in kills with 22, which is the same amount she registered in the first two matches of the season, combined. Eicher and Murray were also big in kills for the Red Flash, tallying 13 and 12, respectively.

Deptula led Saint Francis in blocks with nine. Behind her were again Eicher and Murray, each with four.
