Saint Francis Women’s Bowling Releases 2023-24 Schedule

LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University bowling head coach Ashley Bingham has announced the squad's schedule for the upcoming 2023-24 campaign.

The featured events of this upcoming season include three regular season Northeast Conference (NEC) tournaments, the 13th annual Red Flash Invite in Altoona, and a trip to Orlando for a destination tournament featuring some of the top schools in the nation.

"I'm excited to have a fantastic season," the fourth-year coach said about the upcoming slate. "There are great opportunities to compete against some good teams and a lot of opportunities to have a good time on and off the lane. We showed everyone last year what we have, now we can go out there and show them again."

Saint Francis kicks off their season at the Penguin Classic in Youngstown, Ohio, where the Red Flash will travel to northeast Ohio to compete on October 13-15.

The best chance to get a live look at the team for those close to campus will be the Red Flash Invite, which returns to the Holiday Bowl in Altoona on January 26-28. The three-day tournament is the first for the Red Flash following winter recess and will see more than a dozen teams attempt to dethrone Duquesne, last year's tournament champion.

The squad concludes its regular season in Tennessee, where St. Francis will visit the reigning national champion Vanderbilt as they host the Music City Classic from March 15-17.

The postseason begins with the NEC Championships on March 22 in Hamilton, N.J., followed by the NCAA Championships in Allen Park, Mich., to conclude the season.

Bingham and the Red Flash return six bowlers from last year, including four seniors and two reigning All-Conference Rookie Team selections. The freshman class includes newcomers Hayden Bennett and Jewel Johnson.

"I'm super excited to have the two freshmen [Bennett and Johnson] join our team," Bingham noted about the new class. "I'm excited to see what our upperclassmen have to show our underclassmen, and I really think we are going to have a great season."

Most tournaments will be live-streamed on the team's Facebook page, and live score updates will be posted on the team's X page (formerly known as Twitter).
