The Saint Francis men's soccer team (1-0-3) will end their three-match home stand against nonconference Bucknell on Tuesday, September 12 at 3:00 p.m. at the Stokes Soccerplex.
The Red Flash and the Bonnies of St. Bonaventure were scheduled for a match up on Saturday, however the match was canceled due to lightning strikes in the area.
Saint Francis last took the field nearly one week ago against Robert Morris. The Red Flash and the Colonials split a 2-2 draw. Sophomore

THE WORD ON THE BISON
Bucknell is 1-2-1 on the season under seasoned head coach Dave Brandt, who is in his second season with the Bison. The Bison opened their season with a 2-1 victory over former Northeast Conference member Mount St. Mary's. Bucknell then dropped two matches against No. 16 West Virginia (0-2) and Robert Morris (2-3). The Bison are entering Tuesday's match coming off a 0-0 deadlock against George Mason on Friday.
Bucknell's 2023 squad has 20 of the 27 players listed on the roster in their first or second seasons with the program. Returning for the Bison is sophomore forward Charlie Holmes who leads the Bison offensively with two goals and four shots on the season.
Sophomore goalkeeper Freddie Lapworth has started three matches for the Bison, registering six saves and allowing five goals on the season.
The Bison finished 3-12-2 in 2022 with victories over Saint Peter's (2-1), Lehigh (2-1) and Holy Cross (4-1).
Bucknell was voted to finish second to last in the Patriot League's Preseason Poll.
