The Red Flash had the first shot of the match in the second minute with a
Julian Jakopovic (Stuttgart, Germany) attempt blocked.
Saint Francis broke through with the opening goal in the fifth minute as
Mikey Chiha (Harrisburg, Pa.) took the feed from
Joschi Schelb (Freiburg, Germany) and buried the ball into the lower center of the net to make it 1-0 in favor of the Red Flash. The score was Chiha's first career goal.

In the 34th minute, current Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week
Álvaro Planas (Valladolid, Spain) netted his second career goal off the bench from a Schelb assist making the score 2-1.
Just before halftime, the Raiders responded with two goals of their own taking the lead 3-2. Schelb leveled the score five minutes into second half when he buried a shot of his own into lower right corner, scoring his first career goal.
