Saint Francis ended Saturday's match in a scoreless draw against Longwood to end nonconference play undefeated. This is the first time in program history that a team has been able to remain undefeated through their entire nonconference slate.
Freshman
Joschi Schelb led the Red Flash offensively in the match with four shots and two on goal. Freshman
Fabian Wagner was named NEC Rookie of the Week and sophomore
Jordaine Jaeger was named a Prime Performer this past week.
The Red Flash enter NEC play first in the conference with a .667-win percentage. 2022 NEC Champions FDU rank second with a record of 3-2-2 (.571), followed by LIU with a record of 3-3-1 (.500).
THE WORD ON THE SKYHAWKS
Stonehill owns an overall record on 1-3-2 on the season under head coach Jim Reddish who is in his 15
th season with the Skyhawks. The team's only victory this season came in a 6-1 decision against nonconference Niagara. The Skyhawks are coming into Thursday's match following two straight losses against Bryant (4-0) and Dartmouth (3-1).
Stonehill has 14 newcomers to their 38-man roster. Junior transfer Colin Milliken leads the Skyhawks offensively with four goals and an assist on the season. Senior goalkeeper Carlos Dias Neto returns for the Skyhawks, starting in net for four matches this season. Dias Neto has registered 26 saves on the season.
Stonehill was voted to finish eighth in the NEC's Preseason Coaches Poll.
LAST TIME WE MET
The Red Flash and the Skyhawks ended their first ever meeting in a 0-0 deadlock last season. The draw helped Saint Francis clinch a spot in the NEC Tournament.
