>> Eva Valentini (Junin, Argentina) registered a goal for the Red Flash to move into fifth place in team history for career points.

TURNING POINTS
Drexel jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first 18 minutes and 19 seconds of the match. After Valentini cut the margin to a goal with a tally in the third quarter, Consu de Castro (Chascomús, Argentina) had a chance to tie the game, but her chance was stopped by the Dragons netminder at the 49:24 mark for the final scoring chance for the Loretto program in the match.

FLASH MOMENTS
Valentini, who registered both goals in last year's meeting against the Dragons, cut the margin to 2-1 when she hit the back of the cage at 37:52.

FLASH NUGGETS
Valentini notched her third goal of the season while she also has dished out two assists for a team-best 10 points. The junior now ranks fifth in program history in goals (23) and points (60), but will remain in that position for a while after needing 12 goals and 38 points to move into fourth place in both categories. Valentini, who was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Watch List earlier this season, posted eight goals and six assists for 22 points as a freshman and 12 goals and six assists for 30 points last season.

Mia DiGenova (King of Prussia, Pa.), the current Northeast Conference Defensive Player and Rookie of the Week, made two saves in the first half. Amber Bryan (Thorndale, Pa.) made one save in the final 30 minutes of action.

The Red Flash falls below .500 for the first time this season with a 4-5 mark.
