TEANECK, N.J. – Saint Francis University women's basketball fell 64-54 at FDU on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME
Saint Francis and FDU were tied at eight three minutes into the game before the Knights took a four-point, 19-15 lead by the end of the frame. FDU then opened a 36-22 lead at halftime behind three converted three-point field goals.
Down 39-22 30 second into the third quarter, Saint Francis outscored FDU 17-7 in the remainder of the quarter and cut the deficit to 46-39 after three. In the fourth, Saint Francis cut the deficit to seven points, 59-52, with 1:20 remaining. FDU converted 5-of-6 free-throws in the final minute to clinch its 10-point victory.
FLASH NUGGETS
Ward's 19-point effort marks her fourth straight game with at least 15 points to start conference play. She is averaging a team-high 17.8 points per game through the first four conference games.
Carruthers' 19 points per her most since a 20-point game against Morgan State on Dec. 2 – a nine-game span. She averages 14 points per game through her first four games in the Northeast Conference.
With her nine rebounds, Artero set a new career high after she twice grabbed eight rebounds.
