Women's Volleyball to Host CCSU

THE WORD ON CCSU
CCSU is entering the weekend 2-12 overall and 0-2 in conference play after being defeated by NEC-newcomer Chicago State in straight sets last weekend.

Lauren Milani leads the Blue Devils in kills and aces with 118 kills and 20 service aces. Larissa Hiemer has 207 assists this season. Annabelle Denommé leads her team in digs with 130. At the net, CCSU is led by Kaylin Hadley with 25 total blocks.

The Blue Devils have a new coach at the helm in Alyssa Broccoli after Linda Sagnelli retired at the end of last season after 24 years with CCSU.

LAST TIME WE MET THE BLUE DEVILS
Saint Francis stands at 15-29 all-time against CCSU, picking up two straight-set victories against the Blue Devils last season.

The most recent win for Saint Francis against CCSU was Saint Francis's last home match of the 2023 season. In the win, the Red Flash outperformed the Blue Devils in all six statistical categories. Drew Wallech helped lead the team with four blocks, while Emma Fenton led Saint Francis in assists and digs with 19 assists and 10 digs.

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Flash split last weekend's series with LIU, falling to the Sharks in five sets Friday night before claiming a four-set victory Saturday afternoon.

In the win, Korrin Burns tallied a team-most 23 kills. Alexandra Sappia led the team in assists and digs with 48 and 14, respectively. Kori McClure and Raegan Rosi each recorded two service aces.

Burns, Maggie Hogan and Sappia earned NEC Prime Performer for their efforts against LIU.

UP NEXT
Saint Francis will travel to Erie, Pa. to play Mercyhurst for the first time in conference play on October 18-19.
